We stand at the edge…a match will be struck this week that mirrors history

For those of you that are students of the revolutionary war, there were three matches struck prior to our war of independence. The first one most are familiar with was the ride of Paul Revere…at the end of the day, everyone went home, it was defused…but throughout that month, the British soldiers and govt escalated tensions to the point of an explosion and the Revolution began. Read these points thoughtfully and ask…where are we today?

On Friday, 9/6, speaking to the press at the G20, Obama said, “It’s conceivable that, at the end of the day, I don’t persuade a majority of the American people that it’s the right thing to do,” but that members of Congress need to consider their own consciences and vote ‘yes’ to authorize the use of force, even if it means going against the opinion of the majority of their constituents. He said, “Ultimately, you listen to your constituents, but you’ve got to make some decisions about what you believe is right for America.”

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the heart of the matter. That statement is to the very core of Obama’s ideology: I’ll pretend to listen, but I’ll do what I want anyway, and eventually you’ll come to like it or not … tough. You see, his constituents are the dumbed down dependent gimme-dese and gimme-dats. They don’t have any skin in the game and as long as the free stuff keeps coming, Obama and his ilk can do what they want.

The above statement is also EXACTLY to the core of the entrenched Republican elite, who have stopped being honor-bound to the Constitution nor do they feel duty-bound to the constituents who elected them to represent THEIR voices, NOT their own. To many of our elected officials, we are nothing more than the peons who put them in office. We were smart enough to elect them, but too dumb to know what’s good for us and for the country.

No, Mr. Obama … No, Messrs. Boehner, Cantor, McCain, Graham, et al … Congress is supposed to listen to their constituents, and make decisions that their constituents TELL THEM to make. Politicians can certainly have their own opinions, and when they go into the voting booth, they can do whatever the hell they want. But, they are not elected by us to vote THEIR feelings; they are elected by us for the sole purpose of putting into action what WE want. Period.

In her great piece on 9/7/13 in the Wall Street Journal, Peggy Noonan wrote:

“There is something going on here, a new distance between Washington and America that the Syria debate has forced into focus. The Syria debate isn’t, really, a struggle between libertarians and neo-conservatives, or left and right, or Democrats and Republicans. That’s not its shape. It looks more like a fight between the country and Washington, between the broad American public and Washington’s central governing assumptions.”

This is a very, very important sentence. Read it twice.

A translation:

We don’t want to be in Syria.
We don’t want the debt ceiling to be raised.
We don’t want immigration without border security first.
We do want voter citizenship ID laws in every state.
We don’t want ObamaCare to be funded on 10/1.
We do want truth, and punishment, re Benghazi.
We do want truth, and punishment, re the IRS.

We are at a revolutionary moment in this country. A powder keg.

Also bear in mind, this coincides with a UN exercise in FEMA Sector III (the states surrounding DC) where UN troops will be holding watch against the US citizens in a Civil Unrest exercise…give that some thought. As a student of covert operations and military history, this type of thing is the setting for a Red Flag attack or act of violence (staged or otherwise) to force a military response. Be aware folks, October in the area around DC is not the place to be. See the FEMA map here. http://www.fema.gov/region-iii-dc-de-md-pa-va-wv and also see the article on the actions to take place (one of several articles) http://beforeitsnews.com/opinion-conservative/2013/08/fema-preparing-for-the-worst-in-region-3-why-video-2698874.html
