What’s the difference between Bernie Madoff’s fraudulent investment Ponzi scheme ,that hurt thousands of duped investors, and President Obama’s, now proven “misstatements,” to 314 million Americans so to ensure his reelection in 2012? Not a lot that I can see.
Both are deeds of shameless liars and “big fight fixers.”
If the lies of “you can keep your insurance, and your doctors, period; no one will pay more for insurance” were to have become known anytime between the summer of 2010 and the fall of 2012, than not only would Barack Obama have been soundly defeated by Mitt Romney, but the Congress would have shifted to the “right” in truly epic numbers.
This might still happen in 2014 and 2016. And it should, despite promises to delay the enrollment deadline.
Every member of Congress who voted for the 2010 Affordable Care Act, which included every single member that called themselves a Democrat, put their national reputation up on the glass pedestal for all mankind to witness and remember. There will be no spinning their way out of this one.
Every Republican voted “no,” and for good and obvious reasons. For example, like no one having had a chance to read and fairly debate the darned thing. Those “stubborn Republicans” were also hell bent on trying to hold back on the implementation of a massive new government takeover amounting to one-sixth of the American economy.
Is there any do-over for a presidential election that, like a fixed boxing match, was purposely thrown by insiders?
